RYT-200, RPYT, Postpartum Doula
"I have practiced yoga on and off throughout the majority of my life. It wasn’t something that was offered in my home, just something that kept creeping in. When things were hard, especially through university, I continued to turn to yoga but would lose sight of my practice when everything seemed to get back on track.
I practiced in this on-and-off cycle for years and it wasn't until I became pregnant with my first child that I decided that it was important to commit to my practice so that I could ‘replenish my well’ and be present for my family.
At three months postpartum, I began my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. I was nowhere near physically ready to take this on, but I needed something to focus on that was just for me. Little did I know, this training would be so much more than a certification. It would be a community of women that I am so very grateful for, a journey of spiritual practice, and a strong desire to support Mothers and families through movement and connection."
