About The Event

Welcome to "Embodying Motherhood"! A weekly postpartum group to support mothers at any stage; through connection, education, and healing practices.

March 2024 session: Wednesdays at 10am - 11:30am | March 6, 13, 20, 27

Topic: Mother Witnessing Guest presenter: Catie Jane, counsellor

Join Dragonfly Maternity and BirthWyse Inc as we take a look at the intricate topic of Mother Witnessing.

What is Mother Witnessing? A psychosomatic therapeutic process that aims to explore what triggers you in motherhood and how this interacts with your nervous system. It is a practice born from a variety of Birthwyse Inc. tranings and experiences working directly in the birth and postpartum field. Within the practice, a variety of self-regulation tools are offered to find the uniqe tool that works for your individual nervous system. Our presenter this month, Catie Jane of Catie Jane Counselling, will share with us the benefit of mothering alongside a 'witnessing Nervous System.'

Key areas of our group:

Maternal connection   |   Tools + resources   |   Referral network   |   Ceremony and ritual

A variety of themes will be covered through the year, with four live sessions per month (in studio and online options available) and virtual check-in's between each session to offer continued support. At the start of each month, we'll be inviting guest speakers in from the professional community to talk about various topics of motherhood, share their expertise in their field, and answer questions from the group. Each week, we'll be building upon that theme with tools & resources to support the topic, discussions around what is coming up individually + collectively through motherhood, ways to implement the practices into daily living, and rituals & ceremonies to embody these resources through all levels of our Being -- body mind and soul.

For upcoming themes that we’ll be exploring through the year, and to sign up for future sessions, 2024 event listing here!
